Vegan Mincemeat

An easy, customizable, and delicious vegan mincemeat recipe.

  1. Preheat oven to 90°C (200°F).
  2. Peel, core, and dice the apple into tiny cubes. In a baking dish, mix the diced apple with dried fruit, slivered almonds, zest, orange and lemon juice, coconut sugar, and spices.
  3. Cover the dish with aluminum foil and put it in the oven for 1 1/2 hours.
  4. Remove the vegan mincemeat from the oven and let it cool down. Then add a tablespoon of rum or brandy and mix well.
  5. Transfer the mincemeat into jars and keep them in the fridge for up to 4 weeks.
